There is nothing I hate more than hearing fake fingernails tap against a hard surface.  It reminds me of no taste and sars (because of the facial masks that the manicurist have to wear.)  But Laurel Roth has created beauty out of a nuisance.  A former park ranger, she quit her job and went into the art world.  Her mediums are usually strange.  The above pieces were made of fake fingernails, barrettes, false eyelashes, fingernail polish, and jewelry.  They are surprisingly beautiful and elegant.  She sure knows how to bring some class to the acrylic nail business.  Kudos for making the impossible happen.

When I think of hand shadows, I usually think of five year old children playing with a lamp in their bedroom.  Or that tent scene from Austin Powers.  But I never imagine real storytelling, mainly because nobody is really good at hand shadows.  But Raymond Crowe sure knows how to use his hands.  I'm sure the ladies LOVE him.  I could watch an entire film done this way because it seems so outrageous.  Enjoy ladies and gaydies.

In case you haven't heard, Obama declared the Defense of Marriage Act as unconstitutional.  I imagine many religious zealots in this country are flipping their shit!  They are currently purging their children's lives of any color that is in the rainbow, anything metallic, anything soft, smooth, or hairless, and anything beautiful.  Sucks for them!

Sorry it has been a while since I have posted.  I have been in a stage production of Moby Dick this week.  Surprise, surprise, I'm in a play with dick in the title.  Without further ado, here is a great way to say "It Gets Better."  This video is humorous and inspiring.  I love how inappropriate it is but for some reason I don't find it offensive.  Beck D does a good job edging up the "It Gets Better" campaign.

He better work!  If youtube had been around when I was a young lad, then I would be all over it.  Except it would be me doing dramatic readings from the Bible dressed as the Virgin Mary with an audience full of beanie babies.  When I saw this video for the first time, like 2 minutes ago, my jaw dropped-which I am finding is a more and more common reaction of mine.  I am getting gayer by each blog post.  This is bound to be the next viral video.

This is the music I listened to as a gay little boy.  If my parents had no clue, then shame on them because my music taste was a dead giveaway, as well as my love for the arts and Elton John (my first CD was an Elton John CD).  Who doesn't miss the days of denim on denim and Barbara's farewell performance for the millennium in Las Vegas.  You can see that my love for Celine Dion is rooted in deep in my childhood.  I can remember riding in carpool, with the minivan that had the new and ever so exciting automatic sliding door, and belting "Tell Him."  Oh how I miss the simple days of pop when all I needed were frosted tips and a nice matte red lipstick to please me.
