This hottie here is Mr. Jay Brannan, and I want to have his babies. I first heard him when a friend sent me his Houswife video. My dream one day is to be a housewife, circa 1950's. He is also in an amazing film that I saw this summer called Shortbus. It is a beautiful film about sexuality that blurs the line between art and pornography. It was created by John Cameron Mitchell, the same guy who brought us the cult classic Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The film went to the Cannes Film Festival in 2006. If you aren't opposed to nudity and a little/lots of sex, then you should watch this movie. If you are, then stick to the Disney Princesses.

Concept animation projection on building from NuFormer Projection on Vimeo.
Wednesday...oh hump days. My feet are exhausted from strutting the past few days. Can't we just get a holiday during the middle of the week? Some time to get a facial, and a nice pool boy to rub our bunions? Since none of those dreams will come true today, I am going to treat you to a visual and audio vacation. The video above is a projection onto a building. It has not been retouched, like Kim Kardashian always is. To check out more videos click this hoes. For your auditory enjoyment today, here is a link that I StumbleUpon(ed) the other day. It is a music and spoken word project where YOU get to create the music. Have fun pressing play!

Just to dispel all rumors, yes I have a fire crotch. Now to the serious business. I am a queer artist. My mission is to create art that speaks to the LGBT community. I find the art world to be one of the most inspiring environments. People from all different backgrounds and beliefs can come together in one room, be it a studio or a theater, and be in peace--except if you are dressed poorly, then i will judge you. In these blogs, I will be providing you with cultural information as it pertains to this queer's world, and hopefully yours as well. There is an abundant amount of gay art in this world; we dominate the art world in general. Well, we dominate any industry that produces anything attractive really.
Now, how did I get here? Hmmm, lets see...from a vagina. But the more critical discovery in my life was my love of theatre. I made my stage debut as a pilgrim, with a solo i might add, in my 3rd grade Thanksgiving play. In 6th grade, I decided I was destined for stardom, and little did i know, gaydom. I have been studying acting for many years now. I have spent a lot of time in my wet dream of a place, New York City. I spent the past year hosting a local event called Guerrilla Theatre. I saw an opportunity to speak openly about my sexuality, with much reserve, and found a lot of support from the local gay community. Now that that is over for me, the blond queen that is CampusQueer approached me and asked me if I would help him expand his blog. Well, I wet myself, then got pissed that I ruined my Rock and Republics, and then I said yes. I will be typing from the computer lab in Rowand Johnson Hall, RoJo for short. So thus begins my journey of sharing the wonderful world of gay.
