Jason Alper, a pop culture artist, is not best known for his works of art. He is best known for his work on the screen. He is the costume designer for Sacha Baron Cohen in his films Borat and Bruno. Now girls, I know some of you hated Bruno. I even threw a heel at the television within the first 30 minutes of the show. But then I later regretted breaking the glass surface because it was the only reflective surface I had in my house. Now I can no longer spend hours looking at myself. But I digress. After those movies, Mr. Alper decided to go back to his roots and work in the art world. His artwork is just FABULOUS! Who doesn't love a Louis Vuitton Jesus or his supposed wife, The Mona Lisa (for all you DaVinci Code fans out there). The first work is called "What Would Jesus Wear?" I vote we make bracelets that say WWJW--the world would be a much more attractive place if people dressed for the Lord. The other one is called "The Mona Lisa." Surprise, Surprise. Enjoy the photos and have a loverly Hump Day!
Over and Out,
